And just when you think you’ve got a handle on the Covid-19 wedding guidance Johnson’s government change it again.
So from Monday the 28th of September 2020 the number of guests allowed at weddings in England has been reduced from 30 to 15. This has to include any children/infants and your witnesses but does NOT include anyone working on behalf of you at your wedding. So the two registration staff, a photographer, videographer, venue staff and that full-scale symphony orchestra are all allowed (although they must play quietly).
This “could” last for up to 6 months but will be reviewed on a regular basis. So as long as people stop having BBQ’s for 20+ people in their gardens, going on holiday to Covid hotspots and refusing to self isolate and gathering illegibly in large selfish groups we might be able to go back to work next year. Failing that it is unlikely you will be able to find a venue still open for your 2022 wedding.
Clear? Like Mississippi mud.
